Right after we posted this blog: 1970 Georgia Rock Festival To Be Commemorated With Historical Marker & Long-awaited Preview of Feature-length Documentary Film, we received some pretty awesome news! We were given 5 pairs of tickets to give away to the Exclusive, Invite-Only, Preview Screening of Hotlanta, The Great Lost Rock Festival, a Documentary on the Second Atlanta International Pop Festival, by noted Director, Steve Rash. According to Rash, the 110-minute film is still a work-in-progress, but he adds, “It’s time to put the rumors to rest and show people some film.” The screening will be private, by invitation only, with a limited number of additional seats available through local radio stations and of course, Atlanta Music Guide. The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with the director, who wants audience feedback to help him finish the editing, which began with a hundred hours of original film!
7:30 PM -Monday, September 17, in the upstairs screening room of the Plaza Theater – 1049 Ponce De Leon Avenue, Atlanta GA 30306 www.plazaatlanta.com
So Win your Way in and be sure you and your guest can attend! Winners will be contacted by email Friday, September 7th!

I was at the festival. I would really like to see the film someday since I don’t seem to remember much of the concert. About the only thing that stands out is that I was laying back looking at the sky, I heard the Star Spangled Banner and when I looked up, I could see a guy with a guitar for a head. I now realize that it was Hendrix playing with his teeth. The fire works must have seemed to me like the sun rising over the back of the stage because that is what I thought was happening at the time. I was pretty wasted.
Anyway, please, if you ever put this film on DVD, send me an email as I would like to buy it.
Thank you
