Shlohmo and XXYYXX @ The Basement at Graveyard Tavern
Also Appearing: Taste Tester and Fortune Howl
Shlohmo is an LA-native and visual artist turned self-taught musician. As a founding member of the Wedidit collective (Jonwayne, Groundislava, RL Grime, D33J), his early work placed him at the forefront of a new wave of rising talent amongst west coast producers. With an effortless grasp on sound design, Shlohmo combines deceptively simple and emotive melodies, subtle bass drops and swinging slow motion drums. Receiving support from Pitchfork, BBC Radio, the New York Times, NPR, Resident Advisor and many others, Shlohmo leads the way in a new generation of promising young producers with his unique blend of dark and sensual R&B tropes.

Reverend Horton Heat @ The Loft
Also Appearing: Wayne “The Train” Hancock
Listening to the Reverend Horton Heat is tantamount to injecting pure musical nitrous into the hot-rod engine of your heart. The Reverend’s commandants are simple. Rock hard, drive fast, and live true. And no band on this, or any other, planet rocks harder, drives faster, or lives truer than the Reverend Horton Heat. These “itinerant preachers” actually practice what they preach. They live their lives by the Gospel of Rock & Roll. From the High-Octane Spaghetti-Western Wall of Sound in “Big Sky” — to the dark driving frenetic paranoia of “400 Bucks” – to the brain-melting Western Psychedelic Garage purity of “Psychobilly Freakout” — The Rev’s music is the perfect soundtrack to the Drive-In Movie of your life.
Doors open at 7:30pm. Tickets are $20. Online and phone sales end at 4pm.
The Cumberland Collective with Eryn McHugh @ Eddie’s Attic
The Cumberland Collective is a community of independent singer/songwriters and musicians from across the U.S. All respected in their own right, the band’s 15 members have become their own small community; growing organically into the most creative project in Music City today. Those who attend a Cumberland Collective performance find themselves a part of the community too. Audiences don’t just watch The Cumberland Collective, they experience it. This incredible outfit exhibits the essence of Nashville’s songwriting sensibility, with the joy of youthful Rock & Roll passion and the reverence of Gospel inspired sweet Southern soul music. Wherever The Cumberland Collective goes music is loved, connections are made and friendships are forged.
Doors open at 6:30pm. Tickets are $10 in advance and $14 at the door. Online and phone sales end at 5pm.
Thurston Moore’s Chelsea Light Moving with Merchandise @ The Earl
Chelsea Light Moving is the current group led by Sonic Youth founder Thurston Moore. He is the songwriter and plays over-amped hyper electric guitar and sings with raw and glam vocals. The band is a four piece featuring Samara Lubelski, who has played violin with Moore on his last two solo LPs (Demolished Thoughts and Trees Outside The Academy) and with Chelsea Light Moving plays deep psyche pop metal bass guitar. Keith Wood, who records under the aegis Hush Arbors, plays electric guitar with a pick forged from angel wing and John Moloney, aka “Pegasus,” approaches the drums like an asteroid hurtling toward Earth. The first CD self-titled was recorded in two spurious sessions with engineer Justin Pizzoferrato in Sone Lab, a killer studio in Easthampton Massachusetts. The band is ready to detonate any birthday party, wedding or hullabaloo in any country, planet or stratosphere.
Doors open at 8:30pm. Tickets are $15 in advance. Online and phone sales end at 6pm.

Phantogram @ Masquerade (Heaven)
Also Appearing: Giraffage
In the whirlwind year and a half following the release of Eyelid Movies, Phantogram (along with touring drummer Tim Oakley) have been on the road almost constantly, building a well-deserved reputation as a tremendous live band. They’ve grown from supporting diverse tours with early supporters like The xx, The Antlers, and Minus the Bear to playing nearly every major North American festival (Coachella, Outside Lands, Sasquatch, Treasure Island, Lollapallooza, Bumbershoot, and others) to regularly headlining sold-out shows on their own.
