Davin McCoy and The Coming Attractions @ Eddie’s Attic
With their newest album, So Good, So Cruel, Davin and his band had the help of music legend Davis Causey (Sea Level, Allman Bros) and masters and former Sea Level band mates Randall Bramblett and Chuck Leavell (Allman Bros, Rolling Stones, Sea Level). Needless to say, this album is Davin’s most inspired work. Together with Casey Crogan on the drums, Davin and company made magic in the studio. Calling on every influence available, there was never an attempt to hide where the bodies in this collection of sure to be classic, timeless songs were buried. Come hear the Georgia-raised, Davin McCoy, and his band The Coming Attractions, play their soulful rock songs live at Eddie’s Attic tonight!
Lazer / Wulf with Manray @ The Earl
Lazer/Wulf is the product of constant, self-critical and insatiable evolution, where every song is a fully-realized and self-contained epic. It’s thrash, it’s indie rock, it’s jazz fusion, crust punk, and doom sludge and funk in 7/8, but the seams between them aren’t just invisible: they’re simply not there. The songwriters balance their disparate emotions, objectives and influences, to form a brand new sum of its varied parts. It is an ongoing experiment in making conflict non-conflicting, cooking diverse and often adverse ingredients into a delicious and exhilarating whole.

Often compared to Albert King, Marc Broussard, Johnny Guitar Watson and Mississippi Fred McDowell, Dodd’s soulful style is a fiery mix of passion, melody, rhythm and soul. He is the bridge between the roots of blues music and the contemporary influence of southern rock, roots and jam music.
