Drivin N Cryin @ Star Bar
Rolling Stone claims, “Crunching hard rock is the drivin part, brittle countryish balladry the cryin, with the two linked by a heavy dose of Led Zeppelinphilia. If Paul Westerberg had grown up worshipping Angus Young instead of Alex Chilton, the Replacements might have sounded something like this Atlanta band.”
Kenny Howes and the WOW! @ The Earl
Kenny Howes is a singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist, specializing in power-pop. Howes latest solo LP, Tornadoes Here And Past, was released in November 2012, with a vinyl version following in December 2012. PowerPopAholic.com had this to say: “A triumphant comeback in a year full of them. Don’t miss this one.”
Solar Bears @ Smith’s Olde Bar
The Solar Bears are an original Rock/Funk/Blues trio based in Atlanta. Prior to the formation of The Solar Bears, the guitarist and drummer had been recognized as premier musicians, winning the Atlanta Blues Challenge two consecutive years leading to media attention in the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Club owners and audiences alike are consistently floored by their performances and songwriting.

After signing a publishing deal with Rondor/Universal Music Publishing, Jade Novah set out on an adventure to the town of Atlanta, GA to begin her solo career. In 2012, Jade teamed up with producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Devin Johnson, to begin working on her debut album entitled,“In Search of Me.” This album will feature a unique fusion of musical theater and R&B, creating an experience described as “visuals through sound.”
