What’s Up Thursday?

So sorry for the lateness this morning Atlanta! Let me just remind you though that we are on the home front towards the weekend! Here’s your show picks for tonight!

-Gotta admit, I kind of love Eric Church. He is like the official bad ass in country music these days, and he is at the Arena at Gwinnett tonight!

-These little Scandinavians are racing up the charts with their catchy tunes! Of Monsters and Men are at the Tabernacle tonight with Soley!

-I know what you’re about to say, but live a little. Rick Springfield at the Cobb Energy Center, simply awesome.

Faun and A Pan Flute headlines a benefit show to help their friend Jessica Su pay medical bills after being hit by car while riding her bicycle. Tonight at The Earl.

-“Touring behind his lush 2012 record, Transcendental Youth (Merge), frontman John Darnielle of The Mountain Goats continues to potently share his songs ranging from plaintive tales to cautiously optimistic mantras.” Catch them at Terminal West.

JACOB JEFFRIES, hailed “a superb singer-songwriter-keyboardist” by the OC Register, may just be the best-kept musical secret in south Florida. Catch him at Eddie’s Attic tonight.

-After breaking through in the late ‘90s with his Top 20 single “Barely Breathing,” Duncan Sheik spent much of the subsequent decade taking a breather from the usual rock singer/songwriter rituals. He is back tonight at Smith’s Olde Bar for what will definitely be a packed show.

Jana Kramer is definitely making a little stir in the country world, and she will be at the 120 Tavern & Music Hall tonight!

-Led by singer-songwriter Scott Terry, Red Wanting Blue is proudly based in Columbus, Ohio, but might as well be America’s local band. For years, the group had been hiding in plain sight as Terry went about logging thousands of miles on the road throughout the nation’s heartland, making fans the hard way – one at a time. See them at Vinyl tonight.

Crown Point is an alt/pop band from Portland, OR.Recommended If You Like: Snow Patrol, A Silent Film, Anberlin, Lifehouse. Tonight at Peachtree Tavern.
