Starting off this week, we’ve got a musician fresh off of his tour with Maroon 5, a spoken word and hip hop artist from Minneapolis, and a genre bending group performing songs from their new concept album. The shows are sure to be crowd pleasers, so don’t miss out!

 

 

 

Tony Lucca and Brendan James @ Eddie’s Attic

After twenty years in the entertainment business, Tony Lucca begins chapter two of his musical career after his game-changing run on NBC’s The Voice. After signing to Adam Levine’s 222 Records, Lucca played to thousands as one of the support acts of Maroon 5’s sold out tour, and brings that same energy to Eddie’s Attic tonight, alongside Brendan James and Vicci Martinez.

Doors at 6pm. Tickets are $16 in advance, $20 at the door. A table of 4 reserved seats is $80, and a table of 4 reserved seats and 4 meal combos is $140.

Dessa @ Vinyl

Having been described as “Mos Def plus Dorothy Parker,” Dessa jettisons all genre expectations with her new full length release. Parts of Speech is an adventure in the fields of creative non-fiction, spoken-word and hip-hop, and her live show is sure to entertain.

Kayo Dot @ The Goat Farm

Brooklyn based Kayo Dot describes their sound as an “avant-goth, progressive experimental doom, abstract electroacoustic black modern compositional.” The band brings its genre spanning sound to the Goat Farm tonight to promote the newly released Hubardo, an ambitious concept album about a meteor that falls to earth and transforms a lonely poet.

Doors at 8pm. Tickets $8 in advance, $10 at the door. Online, phone, and outlet sales end at 4pm.
