From punk-rock to disco-y standout music to heavy metal noise, there surely is a show that will peek your interest tonight! Here’s the lineup:
Single Mothers @ 529
Known for their dangerously explosive live show and the palpable tension that bleeds into their music, the band has ran through 9 members since its inception in 2008, and has broken up countless times. However, after disbanding in early 2011 the band quietly posted their final EP online. It achieved a cult following and inspired the band to reform the following year. Pairing feral punk with rock ‘n’ roll sensibilities, Single Mothers has accepted that all their trials, tribulations and tensions have not only gotten them here but have motivated them to work even harder.
The Old Ceremony @ Smith’s Olde Bar
The Old Ceremony is a band, in the ‘band of traveling gypsies’ send of the word. They spin together influences as far-flung as Astor Piazzolla, Nick Cave, Serge Gainesbourg, Frank Sinatra, and The Beatles, with an intensity and commitment usually reserved for kung-fu masters and enthusiasm of drunken sailors in a brawl. The music careens from moments of frenzied release to introspective clarity and beauty with startling ease and confidence.
Songwriter’s Open Mic Night @ Eddie’s Attic
For over 19 years, Eddie’s Attic has hosted Atlanta’s premiere SONGWRITER’S OPEN MIC for the performing songwriter. National and local acts perform 2 songs each, with 3 finalists returning for a third song at the end of the evening for a chance to win a cash prize and a spot in our bi-annual, nationally acclaimed Open Mic Shootout. This is a great opportunity for up and coming talent to hone their skills and for listeners to see and meet tomorrow’s stars.
Starfucker (STRFKR) @ Terminal West
To get an idea of what STRFKR is really about, look no further than first single and opening track “While I’m Alive,” a song that bursts out of the gate with what can only be described as swagger. Not overconfidence or false bravado, but the undeniable sound of a band that knows exactly who they are: swirling keyboards that take you up, down, and all around, rhythmic guitars, irresistible basslines, and drums that keep an unrelenting beat.

Led by visionary frontman Steve Austin, Today Is The Day reigns as one of the most unique and influential bands of the past two decades. The band’s violent and anthemic style, which blends metal, noise, psychedelia, and rock, has won worldwide acclaim ever since the debut album, Supernova, first hit in the early 90s.
