Happy Monday y’all! Can you believe it’s already July? We can’t! Who’s ready for the fun-filled holiday week? After the festivities and shows this past weekend, I think we’re all ready for some time off! Songwriter’s Open Mic @ Eddie’s Attic
For over 19 years, Eddie’s Attic has hosted Atlanta’s premiere SONGWRITER’S OPEN MIC for the performing songwriter. National and local acts perform 2 songs each, with 3 finalists returning for a third song at the end of the evening for a chance to win a cash prize and a spot in the bi-annual, nationally acclaimed Open Mic Shootout. This is a great opportunity for up and coming talent to hone their skills and for listeners to see and meet tomorrow’s stars.

Nunhex, Devaulved, Paradox, Manic @ 529 (FREE SHOW)
The lack of D-beat in Dade County and surrounding areas became very apparent as soon as Nunhex started making disruptively loud noise in March of 2012. With members of just about every Miami-area band, Nunhex are no strangers to staying busy and blowing eardrums out regularly. In little over a year they have played more shows than they can keep track of and have become quite infamous for their dirty brand of d-beats and short, intense sets (and also hair and pointy guitars).
