Weezer has just released the second volume of frontman RIvers Cuomo's home recordings ("Alone II: The Home Recordings"), and while they were pulling the material for that album, it made them start thinking about some of the other stuff they cold pull out of the old music vault for the rest of us to enjoy.
Cuomo describes putting this all together as "just another fun project to do". The album is tentatively titled "Odds and Ends" and will include songs that for some reason just did not make the cut for a record. They will span over the entire period of the bands career, from the early 90's to some of their most recent work. Cuomo says he has no idea when the record will be released, but its still something to look forward to.
In other news, the band may tour next spring with Oasis according to Cuomo. And they are looking to score Spike Jonze as the director of their new music video, for the song "The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived".
And in case you are looking for some Christmas tunes this holiday season, Weezer has just recorded 6 classic carols such as "Oh Holy Night" that will be downloadable for the iPhone game "Tap Tap Revenge".
