Atlanta: the Mecca of Music in the South, and this weekend is no exception. Shaky Knees Festival (May 4th & 5th) will host Band of Horses, The Lumineers, and about 2 dozen more buzz-worthy bands and artists. Gladys Knight will be serenading fans at Wolf Creek Amphitheater on Friday night. And if you’re looking for something more intimate, pop into Drunken Unicorn, Smith’s Olde Bar, Eddies Attic, The Earl, or Vinyl – they always have something great stewing.
Friday, May 3rd-Assembly of Dust at Smiths Olde Bar
This jam band made from former Strangefolk frontman, has been hit nearly every major festival including Bonnaroo, to Newport, to Wakarusa. With that kind of experience AOD will be shaking Smiths Olde Bar with the kind of performance only they can give. They released their newest album earlier this year in February, so don’t miss their show for new tunes!
Friday, May 3rd-David Jacobs-Strain at Eddie’s Attic
The Oregon native’s bluesy rock and roll will be filling Eddie’s Attic on Friday. Listen close and you will hear his lyrics calling for the open roads and spaces of his home state.

Another young talent, this singer is a full of soul, folk, and pop. Her album “Wake and Rise” was made completely on her own, and her move to go to school at Spelman College here in Georgia has done nothing but influence her music and grow her ever adapting style.

This Atlanta based act is one to see for sure. Seductive, edgy, and powerful, All The Locals have created a blend of live sound engineering, and rock and roll for a unique melding of music. Beginning with rock and then adding a producer and bringing in hints of R&B, All the Locals is unlike anything you have heard before!
