His first EP was released in 2011, and he hasn’t stopped since. Joining him is Copius Jones another Atlanta native who will be showcasing his progressive-rock, funk, jazz, Latin, classical, African, blues, folk, jam, and electronic style. Friday, May 10th-Cody Marlowe and the Dead Flowers at Vinyl
Right out of Georgia, Cody Marlowe is a roots rock singer that infuses hints of soulful music as well. His most recent release “Silver and Gold” is his third album since his debut EP. It showcases honest songwriting through solid country rock music.
Friday, May 10th-Gregory Alan Isakov with Angel Snow at Smiths Olde Bar
He brings a little mystery to the stage with his somber tone, multi-instrumentalist talents. At times melancholy and at times upbeat, Gregory Alan Isakov, hailing from South Africa, has a different flair than other artists coming to town.

Saturday, May 11th-Sheila E. at The Amphitheater at Riverdale Town Center
In 1983, Sheila caught the attention of Prince and changed her name to “Sheila E.,” and Prince helped her record her first solo album, “The Glamorous Life.” The first single from the album, “The Glamorous Life,” written, performed, and directed by Sheila E., was released in the spring of 1984 and earned popular and critical acclaim. This single went on to receive multiple Grammy and American Music Award nominations, and won MTV’s Best Video Award.
Saturday, May 11th-Cumberland Collective at Eddie’s Attic
Cumberland Collective isn’t just a group of musicians, but a community as well. The 15 singer-songwriters from across the nation come together for one of the most creative music project around. Going to their show isn’t just a spectator sport, and the audience gets to participate in the performance as well.
Saturday, May 11th-Generationals with Brass Bed at The EARL
This year brought about a label change as well as a slight change in the music for Generationals. These rockers will be filling The EARL with infectious hooks and music with texture you can practically feel. Joining them is Brass Bed on Saturday.
Saturday, May 11th-Tanz Farm Series 4 at The Goat Farm
You can catch this performance on Friday or Saturday. This is part of a performance anthology with choreography by Amanda Miller. She is a founding artist of Germany’s Pretty Ugly Dance Co, and Atlanta’s CORE Performance.

From basements to college parties to headlining venues The Hodgas have come a long way even after their over twenty year hiatus. But now they are back! Saturday, May 11th-Michal Menert at The Basement at Graveyard Tavern
Colorado-based Michal Menert comes from a complex musical background of guitar, keyboards, and a variety of other instruments, giving him a unique approach to composition. Menert co-produced the debut Pretty Lights album, Taking Up Your Precious Time, with Derek Vincent Smith. He has since released his first solo album, Dreaming of a Bigger Life in spring of 2010, and dropped the much-lauded 27 track mega-LP, Even If It Isn’t Right, in April 2012. His sound combines obscure vintage samples from both Eastern European and Western vinyl with rich analog synthesis and organic hard hitting beats; a fusion of yesterday’s elements and tomorrow’s ideas.
