Pusswhip Banggang is cookin’ up good eats, tasty tunes and big laughs with their newest release “Jambalaya” 12”. And to celebrate their first official release, the band is taking their show on the road with a 3 stop mini-tour in the dirty south. Tour cities include Birmingham, New Orleans and, you guessed it, Atlanta.
Pusswhip Banggang is the musical brainchild of comedic duo Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim and made their debut on Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! in 2006. Since their formation, Tim and Eric’s Pusswhip Banggang has been the leader in the swamp rock scene- granted, it is quite likely they are the only band in the swamp rock scene. The band is best known for their hits like “Fudge Man,” “Kiss Me Once,” “Don’t Call Me Uncle,” and of course, “Jambalaya.”
“Jambalaya” 12″ deluxe picture disc single represents the release of the group’s retro hit “Jambalaya.” Fans can get their hands on this ultra-deluxe edition on June 24th. The direct-metal mastered full color picture-disc with custom shape comes in a gatefold jacket with reverse-side printing and also included a recipe for the “Naw-Luns” inspired dish.
This hilarious group of musical miscreants will be entertaining crowds across the South for the first time since their 2010 tour with their classic songs and, fingers crossed, some new tunes. Either way, we’re excited to laugh, dance and jam to the musical stylings of Pusswhip Banggang as they tour the Southeast.
