Ever wanted to find out what it would be like to have an Ivy League education in the music industry? On July 30, The Atlanta Chapter of the Recording Academy (AKA, The Grammy’s) presents “Grammy GPS: A Road Map For Today’s Music Biz” at the Dr. Bobbie Bailey & Family Performance Arts Center at Kennesaw State University. Like going to Hogwarts (or Harvard), the panelists speaking come with some pretty heavy resumes.
Speakers to include Deerhunter’s drummer Moses Archuleta; A2IM President Rich Bengloff; indie hip-hop artist Aleon Craft; Yep Roc/Red Eye Distribution co-owner Tor Hansen, top producers Mike Clink, Kenneth “Duro” Ifill, Jordan “DJ Swivel” Young and Polow; Emory University Otolaryngologist Michael M. Johns, M.D, GRAMMY® nominated vocalist Kelly Price; Collective Soul’s Ed Roland; and vocal producer and coach Jan Smith. Top film music supervisors PJ Bloom (Glee, Eat Pray Love, Nip/Tuck) Maureen Crowe (Chicago, The Bodyguard The Preacher’s Wife), Joel C. High (Weeds, Girl With a Pearl Earring, Crash) and Alexandra Patsavas (The Twilight Saga, Roswell, Grey’s Anatomy, Mad Men, The O.C.,etc).
RSVP IS MANDATORY for entry and ends on July 27. Everyone must RSVP with the NARAS office, be confirmed with the office, and must be a current member to come to the event. There will be NO PLUS ONE’s unless you are a current member. For more information or to Join NARAS:

Cool! maybe one day I’ll be invited as a guest speaker, or is the invite for major label artist only?
I think it’s wonderful that the ATL has such an event, more cities should take note and follow your lead.
