As far as epic shows go, this one will be at the top of our lists. On Wednesday, November 12, an extraordinary collection of musicians will come together at The Fox Theatre for “One More For The Fans! Celebrating The Songs & Music of Lynyrd Skynyrd.” This will be a special concert event taping to honor one of the most influential bands of our time. A band so iconic that you can often hear the words “Free Bird!” shouted out at various shows.
To pay tribute to the band, there will be a stellar lineup of artists that includes the band themselves: Lynyrd Skynyrd, Trace Adkins, Alabama, Gregg Allman, Charlie Daniels, Peter Frampton, Warren Haynes, John Hiatt, Jason Isbell, Jamey Johnson, Aaron Lewis, moe., Gov’t Mule, Robert Randolph, Blackberry Smoke, Cheap Trick, Donnie Van Zant, O.A.R. and Randy Houser. Recently added to that list are legendary musician and producer Al Kooper, who originally discovered Lynyrd Skynyrd.
On top of all that awesomeness, there will also be an all-star house band featuring legendary guitarist Steve Lukather of Toto, led by Grammy Award-winner Don Was who will serve as the music director.
