New York City native Sam Shaber, daughter of the late-screenwriter David Shaber, ("The Warriors," "Nighthawks,") first became enamoured with music at the tender age of three, when she choreographed "elaborate" dance routines to the Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper" in the living room. More recently, Shaber has written, recorded, and performed her own songs across the U.S., U.K. and Canada. Her song 'Rain and Sunshine' won honors in the USA Songwriting Competition and caught the ear of producer/recording artist Shawn Mullins. The two set about making the new album "Eighty Numbered Streets" for Mullins' label, SMG Records. Shaber's songs have also won awards in the John Lennon and Billboard Song Contests. Sam returns with her single,'Eldorado,' written for her parents. The song has long been an audience favorite at her energetic, emotional live shows. Atlanta Music Guide is now featuring Shaber's monthly newsletter: January '04 November October Autumn
