The tattooed, beared, and all rock trio, Swank Sinatra will be part of Hijacking Music Festival this Saturday, December 8th at 529. Members Bob Place, Brandon T. Pittman, and Randy Garcia came together to answer some questions for AMG before their show this weekend. Here is out interview with the Atlanta locals!How did you come up with your band name?
Our band name came from a failed comic book plot which involved a Wonder Twins-esque crime fighting team. Swank Sinatra would have been the name of the super hero.
What is the strangest thing a fan has done for you? or at your show?
We gave a drunk fan a ride home when their friends left them after a show. They couldn’t remember where they lived and ended up vomiting all over our ride.
What is your favorite gig you have ever attended?
Probably a Tijuana Pony Show.
What was the best gig you have ever played?
We played a show in Pensacola where our guitar player hit his head and proceeded to bleed from said wound. The crowd seemed to love it, and a lot of DMX references were made.
Any pre-show rituals you can’t go on stage without doing?
We like to watch Gary Sinise films before our shows. It puts us in the right mood.
