In 2013, Creative Loafing Atlanta voted Stokeswood “Best Local Rock Act”- and rightfully so. The group has recently performed music festivals like Counterpoint, The Rock Boat and AURA Music Festival with the likes of M83, Skrillex, Outkast, Sister Hazel and P Groove. Band Members include Adam Patterson, Mark Godwin, Jon Joiner, Justin Mullinix and Michael Roman. To classify Stokeswood as just one genre wouldn’t do them justice, the group is self-proclaimed “Low-Endie” rock, which is a telling way to describe their mixture of pumping synths, powerful vocals and irresistible dance vibes. Stokeswood released their first album, Carassia, in 2009 and since then have released three more albums. Most recently, the group released the album, Our Streets, which is available on iTunes here. Their set at Party in the Park on May 17th is not to be missed!
