Ludacris, Elton John, Gwen Stefani, Lil Wayne, Beyonce, Nirvana – all greats in their own right, but you probably wouldn’t expect to find them all on one album, unless, of course, that album is the product of Girl Talk. Since the early 2000’s, Gregg Gillis, the mastermind behind Girl Talk, has been creating music by mixing and mashing samples from a variety of popular artists. When it comes to genres, Gillis’ musical selections is exceedingly non-discriminatory, he includes everything from pop to alternative rock and hip-hip to electronic. Much like his music, Gillis’ personal life and background are quite diverse, when he’s not touring or creating music, he is pursuing his career as a biomedical research engineer. As mentioned prior, Girl Talk has been in the game for over a decade. The first full length album, Secret Diary, was released in 2002. Most recently, Gillis released the album title All Day. All of Girl Talk’s albums are available on Illegal Art, for free but voluntary payments are accepted as well. If you’d like more information about Girl Talk or want to keep up with what’s new with the artist, check out Facebook and Twitter.

Can’t get enough Girl Talk? Then you can’t miss Gillis’ set at Party in the Park. It all goes down on Saturday, May 17 at Centennial Olympic Park. Gates open at 3 p.m. Tickets are still available through Ticket Alternative.
