Sevendust
drummer Morgan Rose is helping fans who want to own a piece of
Atlanta rocker memorabilia - and he's fighting hunger at the same
time. Rose is contributing a portion of proceeds to Atlanta's Table, a
project of the Atlanta Community Food Bank, every time a fan purchases
a set of autographed drumsticks for $25 through his official Web site,
www.morganrosesevendust.com.
Rose says he felt obligated to help Georgia's hungry people when he
realized how many citizens are in need of food. Statistics show that
more than 900,000 Georgia households don't have access to enough food
at all times to ensure healthy lifestyles (Center on Hunger and
Poverty, 2002). Atlanta's Table retrieves donations of excess prepared
food from the hospitality industry and delivers it to about 30 metro
Atlanta nonprofit, hunger-relief agencies every day.
