On Thursday, October 3rd, Smith's Olde Bar will host a benefit concert for Randee DeMartino. A 28 year old resident of Atlanta and a former music publicist, Randee has spent all of this year battling cancer and has been unable to work. This is Randee's second bout with the disease, which she first defeated 6 years ago. Eight local bands are currently scheduled to perform - The Yard, Hundred Dollar Day, The Enigmatic, Sanctified, Ian Webber, Big Atomic, Bachelor Red and Empty Handed. - Show up and do the right thing.

Flyer Beware! The Virginia Highlands Neighborhood Assoc. and the Atlanta Police are cracking down on flyers posted on telephone poles around Virgina Highlands area. A couple of bands have been threatended that their shows at the 10 High (which the flyers were promoting) would be pulled and they would not be allowed to perform if the flyers were not taken down. United are the latest band to receive such a threat, and we wait to see if their show Sept 12 at the 10 High goes ahead.
