Indie rock/folk artist, Jenny Lewis, is a musical jack of all trades. She plays a variety of instruments, including: bass, guitar, harmonica and keyboards.  She used to serve as the lead vocalist for a band called Rilo Kiley, but she’s since released two solo albums. Lewis’ newest album, The Voyager, has already generated quite a bit of buzz thanks to her star-studded, gender-bending video for the song “Just One of The Guys” featuring actresses Kristen Stewart, Anne Hathaway and more (check it out below). Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers – Hypnotic Eye (Reprise)

Hypnotic Eye is the thirteenth studio album for classic rockers Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers. Formed in 1976, Tom Petty and The Hearbreakers is an institution in rock and roll history as their music has withstood the test of time. Early reviews have indicated that stylistically this album is most comparable to some of the band’s earlier albums, like Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers (1976) and You’re Gonna Get It! (1978). In celebration of the new album, the band will tour from August to October. While they don’t plan on making a stop in our town, they are hitting several cities in the Southeast, so check out Tom Petty’s website for more information.

Thomas Wesley Pentz is a musical renaissance man- the man can do no wrong. He is a LA-based DJ, rapper, songwriter and producer but you probably know him better by his stage name, Diplo. Random White Dude Be Everywhere is Diplo’s  fifth solo album and features 12 new songs. Atlanta’s own Waka Flaka and Travis Porter both make an appearance on the new album. Wildest Dreams – Wildest Dreams (Smalltown Supersound)

This self-titled neo-pyschdelia album is a product of Harvey Bassett (DJ Harvey), world-renowned British DJ. Bassett has been playing in bands since the 70’s and began to DJ in the 80’s. Other member of the band include 3 members of Orgone, including: keyboardist Dan Hastie, bassist Ethan Phillips, and guitarist Sergio Rios. Marc Broussard – A Life Worth Living (Vanguard)

A Life Worth Living is the sixth studio album of contemporary singer/songwriter Marc Broussard. Broussard, a Louisiana native, often shows his southern roots in his music, which mixes funk, blues, R&B, rock and pop. Krakatau is a progressive rock band out of Melbourne, Australia. Named after a volcano, this band is a three-piece outfit composed of Dylan Lieberman on Drums, Danny Smith on Bass guitar and James Tom on Electric organ, piano and synthesizer. This LP only features 3 songs, 2 of which are live recordings, but that doesn’t stop this album from being highly anticipated. James Brookes of Land Observations take listeners on a auditory adventure through Europe with his latest album, The Grand Tour. Throughout the album of imaginary travels, the only instrument that was used was a six-string electric guitar.
