Add some festiveness to your fright next Friday the 13th at Mixtape Atlanta’s 5th annual holiday showcase at Vinyl. This year, it’s aptly titled The Nightmare Before X-Mix. See Center Stage transformed into a festive setting of lights, merriment, Santas and scares to benefit the Songs for Kids Foundation. Enjoy FREE shots of the A’s favorite latte, Whynatte, strike a creepy/Christmas-y pose in the Mixtape photo booth and listen to some killer Christmas carols.
This year’s lineup features James Hall, The Electric Sons, Aerobics Cube, Wesley Cook, Mel Washington, Yosef, and special performance by Yacht Rock Revue. James Hall is the only artist to play every X-Mix show (5 years and running!) and he is back and better than ever this year joined by some awesome Atlanta musicians. Aerobics Cube will debut a new set with songs from the 2000s and 90s in addition to their 80s standards accompanied by the signature workout moves that’d make Jane Fonda proud. Several other talented musicians will take the stage to perform their original music and their takes on classic holiday songs. Wesley Cook, Carolina singers Mel Washington and Yosef, the smooth gents of Yacht Rock Revue and the Songs for Kids founder Josh Rifkind will all be joining the fun.
Cover is $10. Doors open at 8pm and the music starts at 9pm.
