The Masquerade is recommending visitors take a taxi, get dropped off or use Uber this weekend rather than trying to find parking in the area.
Soulfly, Streetlight Manifesto and Chambers of Horror Haunted House attendees are warned that North Avenue between Boulevard and Freedom Parkway will be closed to through traffic on Saturday for the Red Bull Soapbox Race.
Additionally, North Angier Avenue, which is beside The Masquerade, and Old 4th Ward Park will be closed and unavailable for parking.
The Masquerade Music Park will be open with limited parking, so those who plan to drive should arrive early. To access this lot, drivers will need to exit the downtown connector at Freedom Parkway (exit 248 C) and follow Freedom Parkway to North Avenue NE and turn left. Travel westbound on North Avenue NE until reaching a police checkpoint and tell the officer you are going to the Masquerade or hold up a printed copy of this article and they will let you through until the lot is full.

Once the lot is full, drivers will need to find neighborhood or other paid parking in the area.
After the event, exit in the reverse direction up North Ave NE to the east.
