Melanie Martinez w/ Dresses @ Vinyl
Melanie Martinez is a remarkable 18-year-old artist from Long Island, New York – a stunning and provocative singer, songwriter and visual presence, who is collaboratedwith Robopop (Jessie J, Lana Del Rey), and Kinetics & One Love (B.o.B) to produce her debut EP, THE DOLLHOUSE, release on Atlantic Records May 20th. Having spent much of 2013 selling out clubs across the country, Martinez will celebrate THE DOLLHOUSE EP with her biggest national tour to date, while simultaneously finishing her eagerly awaited debut album. Her first official single “Dollhouse,” which Martinez co-wrote with the aforementioned, GRAMMY Award-nominated tunesmiths Kinetics & One Love, is a brutally honest depiction of a family falling apart, set to a spare dance beat.

Seryn @ Eddie’s Attic
Seryn is a 6 piece band who calls Denton, Texas their home. When listening to the well layered textures of guitars, ukulele, accordion, bass, violin, banjo and various percussion, it’s hard to imagine This Is Where We Are is the band’s debut effort. The band’s strength resides in their vast musical talent and understanding of dynamics. Their beauty is gracefully displayed through chilling harmonies. Each member and their voice carry the same importance. One is not complete without the other.

Potty Mouth & Swearin’ w/ Places to Hide & Gold-Bears @ WonderRoot
Hailing from the home of Thurston Moore and Dinosaur Jr., and drawing from the fertile music community that is Western Massachusetts, Potty Mouth are all-parts smart-pop craftswomen, specializing in taut, infectious, C-86 influenced indie pop meets ’77 punk perfection. The band released their debut 12″ vinyl EP, entitled “Sun Damage” in July 2012, which garnered the attention of Pitchfork, who called the six-song EP an “an impressive, no-filler debut,” as well as The Boston Globe, who named Potty Mouth one of the “top five indie-rock bands to watch in 2013,” with Brooklyn Vegan adding that they were “one of the most promising new bands in their local scene.” Departing from the more angular shades of post-punk heard in their EP, “Hell Bent” is marked by its significantly heavier production and melancholic hooks. Nonetheless, the album stays true to the confident, youthful punk aesthetic the band has cultivated for themselves.
Tickets are $8. Doors open at 9pm. Online and phone sales close at 4pm.
