Soft Metals wields a genre blurring brand of voltaic pop that draws inspiration from a spectrum of sources including krautrock, synth wave, and techno. They’ve won over audiences in environments as varied as experimental noise shows in dingy basements, to sleek, modern nightclubs, to clandestine after hours warehouse parties, to dimly lit dives where post punk and synthpop records fuel the dance floor.

What is the best gig that you ever played/performed?
Probably one of our San Francisco shows. Our recent Brooklyn shows were really fun, too.
What is the best gig you have ever seen?
One that comes to mind was in 2002 with Autechre, Plaid, and Daniel Menche.
Gig you would most like to play?
We’re looking forward to some upcoming shows with Martial Canterel and Adult.
