American blues-rock slide guitarist, Eric Sardinas, is on tour and ready to rock at Smith’s Olde Bar in Atlanta! Known for his electric live performances, we couldn’t help but get excited when we heard he was coming to town. Atlanta Music Guide caught up with the guitarist before the big gig. Check out what he had to say about the first gig he ever attended, his dream lineup, and more!
What’s the first gig you ever attended?
The first concert I ever saw was Elvis Presley- It was incredible and still remember it like it was yesterday.
What is the best gig that you ever played?
Wow, that’s a tough one… I’ve traveled so much and played so many shows through the years. I’ve had so many magical musical experiences in my career that it’s too hard to pick any specific one.
What is the best gig you have ever seen?
I’ve been so fortunate to see so many amazing artists, not only while on the road but also as a child… But just to name a couple that blew me away apart from Elvis, anything from Homesick James to ZZTop, and Ray Charles to BBKing, and the list goes on.
Gig you would most like to play?
Well, one place I’ve always wanted to play at is the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland and I’m happy that this will come true in a few weeks.
What would be the lineup for your dream gig?
My dream acoustic line-up would be: Charley Patton, Son House, Robert Johnson and Bukka White…
My ultimate electric gig would be: Jimmy Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Elmore James.
