We've got a couple of awesome shows just announced for The EARL, which will be within days of each other in November, proving that the late part of the year is always the best for Atlanta shows.
Heavy Trash, the rockingest band that ever rolled, will be playing on November 19. Don't know who they are? Well, maybe you've heard of a little band called The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion? (Note: if you haven't, then you can just leave) Anyway, Heavy Trash is made of that very Jon Spencer, and fellow rock 'n' roller Matt Verta-Ray (of Madder Rose and Speedball Baby). Check out the rockabilly ballad "Dark Hair'd Rider" above for a little taste. Tickets are on sale at Ticket Alternative.
Then just a couple of days later, we'll have J. Tillman, who many may know from Fleet Foxes. But he's an amazing artist in his own right, having been putting out music since 2004 and having toured with folks like Damien Jurado, Jesse Sykes and David Bazan. He plays The EARL on Novemeber 21 and tickets are available at Ticket Alternative.
