One of the better triple bill concerts you'll find this Fall is coming up next week. Kings of Leon, We Are Scientists, and The Whigs will all play at The Tabernacle on Tuesday, November 18!
Dubbed one of the driving forces behind the so-called "new rock revolution" by the European Press, Kings of Leon have seen skyrocketing popularity across the Atlantic translate into a rpaidly growing fan base in the US. Early in their career the band was chosen as the opening act on tours by U2, and The Strokes, and since have blazed their own path, especially up the U.K. charts. Kings of Leon have been openly praised by several of their rock peers including Ryan Adams, Noel Gallagher, Eddie Vedder, Radiohead, & Bob Dylan. The was very well-received in major festival headlining gigs this summer both at T In The Park, and Glastonbury.
Brooklyn's We are Scientists are touring with the Whigs and are supporting their recently released album Brain Thrust Mastery. The CD is a brilliant mesh of indie/rock/pop/& dance. The band's wide ranging sound makes them easily accessible to many types of fans.
The Whigs are supporting their Debut Mission Control on Dave Matthews's ATO label which has Rolling Stone raving "every track highlights a chunky riff you'll want to hear again and again." The Athens garage rock group is coming off successful festival performances as well, highlighs being Lollapalooza, Fuji Rock, & T in the Park.
