When we first heard about this collaboration, we thought it was a joke – one of those, way too good to be true, wishful thinking jokes – but nope, it’s real. And it’s pretty good, too. Listen below.
Modest Mouse – “The Best Room”
Bad news: Modest Mouse, set to release their first album in eight years, Strangers to Ourselves, pushed the release date back by a couple weeks to March 17. Good news: They released another single off the album, “The Best Room” and it’s awesome.
Purity Ring – “Repetition”
Purity Ring premiered “Repetition” from their upcoming album, Another Eternity, in an interview with BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens. Listen to the whole segment below – the song starts at the 8:28 mark.
Vince Staples – “Screen Door”
Vince Staples, the promising young rapper from Long Beach, just released his latest video from his Hell Can Wait EP released last year. Watch below.
Zola Jesus – “Compass (Hunger B-Side)”
“Compass” is the B-side to Zola Jesus’ song “Hunger,” a song from Taiga, released last year. As far as B-sides go, we give this one an A++.
