The festival, coming to Decatur on August 12th, brings the sights, sounds, and smells of classic southern BBQ from metro Atlanta staples, along with 7+ hours of original live blues and bluegrass music from The Georgia Flood, Farewell Angelina, The Vista Band, Beverly Guitar Watkins & more to Decatur, Georgia in the heart of Oakhurst.

Farewell Angelina, The Georgia Flood highlight 2017 Musical Lineup
The 17th version of the Decatur BBQ Blues & Bluegrass Festival flavored by Tabasco scheduled for Saturday, August 12th has a musical lineup that should feature something for everyone. Eight (8) bands and two (2) stages will include local, regional and national Blues, Bluegrass, Folk, and Rock acts headlined by a bit of country with our headliner.
“Each year we are fortunate to bring to our fans a great lineup of music, this year we feel the variety of acts and music will offer the festival goer a bit of everything while staying true to our blues and bluegrass roots” says Michael Vajda Festival Director.
Headlining this year’s event is country & blue grass group Farewell Angelina. Named after a haunting Bob Dylan song, Farewell Angelina is an all-female country group with four powerhouse vocalists, dynamic songwriters and badass multi-instrumentalists. The relationship they share with their fans won them the fan-voted “Hot Seat” spot of the Taste of Country 2017 “RISERS” Program by over 20,000 votes. They’ve also been named among Rolling Stone’s “New Artists You Need to Know,” and Roughstock’s “Ones to Watch”
Other festival artist highlights include:
- Georgia Music Legend Winner Beverly Guitar Watkins headlining the Sovereign Systems stage
- Returning acts The Georgia Flood, Grizzly Goat, Porch Bottom Boys
- New acts – Donna Hopkins Band, Farewell Angelina, Vista String Band
