We all know it ain't easy to gain favor from Pitchfork. Which is why we took notice of this quaint Americana band from DC, Deleted Scenes, whose record Birdseed Shirt got an amazing 8.0 rating from the music mega-blog. As you can see by the nifty video above – made by DC cool-folks Brightest Young Things on the metro – the band makes great music coming straight from the soul, letting you feel all the hurt and all the joy as honestly as possible.
The band will be coming to Atlanta to play a free gig for Pine Magazine on June 4 at Star Bar, and they'll be joined by The Wild, Abby GoGo, Tres Bien and Book of Colors.
