Nashville alt-pop trio COIN drop their final EP Red-Orange, culminating their mood based trilogy, Rainbow Mixtape. The 12-track project features newly released track “How It Feels,” as well as previously released tracks “Sagittarius Superstar,” featuring Faye Webster, “You Are The Traffic,” and “Sort It Out.”
The Rainbow Mixtape trilogy conceptualizes the mood represented by the colors in the title. Indigo-Violet, the first installment released at the end of last year, is a four-song collection of dynamic alternative rock-pop tracks showcasing the band’s versatility. This was followed by Green-Blue, an additional four-song collection rooted in a 70s, smooth rock palette combining the earthy sounds of the past and future, that debuted on the Top 10 US Album Debut Spotify Chart at #10. The last installment, aptly titled Red-Orange, has tied together the entire project into one LP.
Lead singer Chase Lawrence said on the release, “When touring halted in 2020 we decided to do something different. Let’s give the listener a 3D version of COIN. Multiple EP’s rooted in different themes – lyrically and sonically. Rainbow Mixtape shows all the different colors we make as a band.”
In support of Rainbow Mixtape and their previously acclaimed album Dreamland, the band has announced the Rainbow Dreamland Tour. The band will be taking their electrifying live show to over 30+ cities across North America and is set to kick off on October 26th in Birmingham, AL at the Iron City Music Hall and wrap on December 19th in Baltimore, MD at Baltimore Sound Stage.
