Calling David Ford an edgy emotional singer-songwriter is far too generic of a description. His sophomore album, Songs For the Road is a beautifully crafted piece that explores personal demons and relationships gone bad, and beautiful guitar and piano lines do permeate, but Ford is so much more than the stereotype.
Seeing him live makes many a critic and fan a believer. David uses a unique process of looping multiple instrument parts so that the song comes together seamlessly, but he is still the lone puppet-master – creating his lush soundscapes without a backing band.
After touring with Artists such as Aimee Mann, Sara Bareilles, Augustana, and Raine Maida, and releasing Songs for the Road in April, Davis is poised to deliver an incredible show at Vinyl on Friday, October 24.
