She may be known for her TV journalism on HLN but it turns out she’s got quite a pair of pipes! Robin Meade’s debut show at Eddie’s sold out back in October. Now she’s baaaaack, this time with hit writers Gary Burr and Victoria Shaw for a “Round Robin” style performance.

Alan Evans proudly presents his newest creation: the Alan Evans Trio. With Beau Sasser on B-3 and Danny Mayer on guitar, it is no surprise that AE3’s sound proves hard-driving with funky melodies and powerful, rhythmic counter-play. Mention Evans’ name in a room full of music lovers, and you will get a consensus nod to one of the most tenacious drummers in the jazz, funk, and soul scene. He’d love to have you nodding along at his show tonight.

Friday, February 7 – The Hood Internet w/ Kid Cedek @ Graveyard Tavern
A mash-up crew who came to fame thanks to their genre-jumping mixes, the Hood Internet formed in Chicago. Initial results were uploaded to the Hood Internet blog in 2007 and it didn’t take long for the music to explode, downloads quickly ticking into the thousands. In 2012, the Hood Internet moved beyond mash-ups with their studio album “Feat” featuring a range of guests including Black Moth Super Rainbow’s Tobacco, AC Newman and Kid Static.

Saturday, February 8 – Tedo Stone @ The EARL
Tedo Stone began writing music at age 12. After moving to Atlanta from Oxford, MS in 2011, Tedo and Billy put together a band to harness their most poignant songs for live performances and recordings. As Tedo Stone, they released their first demo “Happy” in August 2012 with Athens’ John Keane, exploring psychedelic southern rock-and-roll and soul.

Saturday, February 8 – Together PANGEA @ 529
Together PANGEA began with lead singer-songwriter William Keegan recording songs on a 4-track tape machine as a teenager. The band truly began to take shape when Danny Bengston, Erik Jimenez and Cory Hanson joined. They began performing at CalArts and house parties in the Santa Clarita valley in 2008, soon playing throughout the West Coast. This week, you’ll find ’em on the East Coast.
