This is a big weekend for fantastic FREE shows going on. The NCAA Big Dance Concert Series is hosting three days of A-List artists. What more could you ask for except maybe some great weather (which is also in store)? Here are the AMG Weekend Picks:
Friday’s schedule for the NCAA Big Dance series includes Saints of Valory, My Morning Jacket, and Zac Brown Band.
Friday, April 5th-Cadillac Jones with Heavy Chevy at The EARL
The sextet which actually started quite close to The EARL itself, are a group of Atlanta natives who have started up a funk jazz orchestra band. Before you head down to The EARL, check out the bands newest release, Rhythm Method.
Friday, April 5th-Cole Swindell at Peachtree Tavern
For a night of country music, head out to Peachtree Tavern. Cole Swindell is not stranger to playing in Atlanta. Straight out of Nashville, the country singer has an impressive resume concerning the country music world. He has played with Luke Bryan, and has written songs for American Idol winner, Scotty McCreery.

A tribute to Kurt Cobain? Count me in.
Friday, April 5th-Kick the Robot CD Release with Sean Newberry, and Fuel for Ghosts at Vinyl
The Georgia rock trio has decided to release their new CD at none other than Vinyl. They have been sweeping the city in a thorough tour of Atlanta venues. They won Atlanta Hard Rock Rising Global Battle of the Bands last March, and they are looking to step it up with their newest album.
Friday, April 5th-The Dave Matthews Tribute Band at Smiths Olde Bar
The name says it all. Touring people have mistakenly thought they were the real deal, confusing them with the actual Dave Matthews Band, that is how good they are. For a night of all your favorite songs from the iconic band, head down to Smiths Olde Bar.
Friday, April 5th-Tyrone Wells with Brendan James & Brett Young at Eddie’s Attic
For over a decade, Tyrone Wells has been touring the country with his unique blend of folk pop music. His songs have debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes singer songwriter chart, so you know what he does his serious. Can’t catch him on Friday? Don’t worry, he will be there on Saturday as well!
Friday, April 5th-Village Pass at The EARL
The Village Pass brings you the best of both worlds. You no longer have to decide what venue, what show, or where to go next. Instead, The Village Pass allows you to jump between The EARL and 529 for a two event pass. With this pass you will get Cadillac Jones at The EARL, and Rock Most at 529.

Saturday, April 6th-Caveman at The Drunken Unicorn
Coming to you from New York City, Caveman is part chamber pop, dreamscape, and part horror film score. They give you a little bit of everything really. Be ready for a lot of drumming and a lot of synths, because these New Yorkers are ready to play!
Saturday, April 6th-Joe Robinson at Eddie’s Attic
This guy can’t even remember a time when he wasn’t playing guitar. That’s how long he has been playing. He plays his own form of blues, rock and funk, and then later becoming more acoustic in style. Come check out this skilled guitar player at Eddie’s Attic this weekend.

For a smooth and totally raw form of music, Lauren Matthews at Vinyl is where you need to be. She has an old school, bluesy charm that will stay in your mind for hours after the concert is done.
Saturday, April 6th-Little Tybee with Jeffrey Butzer & The Bicycle Eaters at The EARL
One thing about Little Tybee, they are reflective of their name. Starting off on the coasts of Georgia, they have moved up to the capitol of their state to pursue their music even further. The indie band is something that could only be produced on the coast with their unique flare and style.
Saturday, April 6th-Tab Benoit with Michelle Malone at The Loft
Medicine is Tab Benoit’s seventh solo album release, and it really is good for the mind, body, and soul. Not only that, he is a Grammy nominated musician, and that does not come easily. Joining him is Michelle Malone at The Loft.
Saturday, April 6th-Torsades at Smiths Olde Bar
This Atlanta local band was formed in 2003, and they have been working at their music ever since. Playing original alternative rock songs, they have been gaining attention in their home town. Go out and support your local band!
