AMG Weekend Picks: Midsummer Music Fest, Decatur Beach Party, SOS Band & More

It’s outdoor concert season, so forget about work this weekend and get some sun! You’ve got plenty of options for fun this weekend. Midsummer Music Fest kicks off Friday and lasts through Saturday night and it’s bound to be an event to remember! Where else are you going to see Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros for free? If you’re looking for something a little more relaxing, the Decatur Beach Party goes down on Friday, featuring A1A –  “the original and official Jimmy Buffet tribute band.” Let’s say you want to groove to some old-school funk and R&B though. Saturday, you’re going to want to catch SOS Band, playing at The Riverdale Amphitheater at Town Center with ConFunkShun and Christopher Williams! Friday, June 14th – Decatur Beach Party
 
Kick back and relax on “Ponce De Leon Beach” this weekend! The Decatur Beach Party features 60 tons of sand, a kids boardwalk, dancing, live music and refreshments. This year Jimmy Buffet tribute band A1A performs, as well as the kid-friendly Douglas Brake and the Sizzle, Hiss, Pop Band.
