Independent singer-songwriter, RYAN HORNE, brings his insatiable creative thirst to the table with his latest release, The Whistler and the Majestic. Ryan joined us for our 5GB before his show on Friday at Eddie’s Attic.
What’s the first gig you ever attended?
Actually, I really dislike going to shows because it is a bit more frustrating than enjoyable for me and that is an inner problem I am trying to work on. I do not want to be influenced too much in my songwriting to where I may be emulating someone else a bit too much. I usually just attend shows that my close friends are playing in support of them.
What is the best gig that you ever played/performed?
I have played plenty of great gigs. One of the best has to be at The Workplay Theatre in Birmingham, AL with my good friends Eliot Morris, Drew Holcomb, and Jon Black. Sold out crowd and we played an In-The-Rounds show. Workplay is one of my favorite venues to play.
What is the best gig you have ever seen?
I did see Ryan Adams last show with The Cardinals at The fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA and that was pretty wonderful but again, I still felt frustrated because I was selfishly jealous and again, it is something I am having to overcome. 🙂
Gig you would most like to play?
I would love to play The Grand Ole Opry, The Fox Theatre, or The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN.
What would be the lineup for your dream gig?
Myself, Patty Griffin, Martin Sexton, and Jack White. Random, I know
See Ryan Horne Friday, November 30th at Eddie’s Attic!
