It’s hard to tell you anything about Copious Jones because they don’t have a bio anywhere! But from the looks of it, this jam band surely knows how to have a good time! They joined us for our 5GB series before their show at Smith’s Olde Bar tonight.
What was the first gig you ever went to?
Our first gig… hmmm, was in January 2010 at The Red Light Cafe in Atlanta. We were one of maybe seven other bands to play. We loaded onto the stage like a bat outta hell, played our 30 minutes and were done.
What is the best gig that you ever played/performed at?
Our last gig was our best one, but only until the next one..
What is the best gig you have ever been to?
Well, as a band… we saw “Sean Kuti & Egypt 80”, a 24+ piece band performing afrobeat, during Floydfest 2011. They had horns, back-up singers, numerous percussionist.. it was amazing. They played the late night on Saturday. Twas funky as hell.
Gig you would most like to play?
Is outer-space an unacceptable answer?? It shouldn’t be if it is. “We… have the technology.” Lets stick with it, Outer-space.. final answer.
What would be the lineup for your dream gig?
The line up to our dream gig would go all the way through the parking lot.
What’s that…? I misunderstood you? Oh, the lineup for our dream gig? Well, the lineup FOR our dream gig would be sooo insanely epic that God himself would attend, VIP of course, and obviously the line up to the door would go all the way through the parking lot… better?
