500 Songs For Kids Update from Night #10
Songs #50-1 on the Countdown of the 500 GREATEST SING-ALONG SONGS OF ALL TIME!
One might be the loneliest number, but when the countdown finally reached “Hey Jude,” the number one sing-along song, there was no such thing as lonely at Smith’s Olde Bar. The packed venue had been beyond capacity since early in the evening with anxious fans waiting to see, who would be singing some of the top songs; they were not disappointed.
Although it had been announced earlier in the week that Gnarls Barkley’s Ceelo would be singing “Hey Jude,” he took the stage before the top ten broke to perform his own countdown hit: #77- "Crazy." With just an acoustic guitar and tambourine player, Ceelo kicked the energy up to an all time high with 10-day-stressed vocal cords echoing his every lyric. The power jams and rock hits continued after that as Tommy Martin, Heavy Mojo, Butch Walker and others motored through classics from AC/DC, Bon Jovi and Night Ranger to name a few.
