I agree with almost all of your picks, except two. I was really disappointed in the performance of Total Eclipse of the Heart. Admittedly, it’s a difficult song, but I thought her performance was pretty amateurish and not very exciting.
And Genie in the Bottle was rather boring. The belly dancing was the most interesting thing and I happened to be at the show with a professional dancer who was disappointed in that.
The Sammies performance of Thunderstruck was awesome. And Zylah was amazing. That White Rabbit/Pinball Wizard kicked ass!
And, I’m admittedly biased on this one, but I thought Scott Downes’ Sweet Jane was great.
I can’t remember the name of the band, but I really liked the cover of Hold On, the Wilson-Phillips song.
Lots of fantastic performances, some truly interesting (the metal band covering Losing It by Eminem).
Anyway, thanks for the excellent coverage. I wish I could go to every show.
actually- if you notice- it says the good, the bad, AND the ugly
so…. this is just a highlight of what you missed! whether i thought they were good or bad- is all up to you to guess!
so- i may have agreed with you on those 😉
check out the pics too… we’ll have a lot more up today! thanks for visiting AMG!
um…yeah that eclipse was weak the rhythm was all off and what about you make me feel like a natural woman? Best song of the night and dont even know who played it and the eminem tune was good but how could you sing along but whatever for the kids
